We all Need the Right Tools for Motivation.

Everyone has turned to a motivational speaker.

You go for a conference, the theme could be ‘How to run a successful SME' ‘Technology in an advanced world' and the guest speaker of two hours spends an hour and thirty minutes talking about how they suffered in life.

Good point but is it really necessary?

A teacher who spends time only on talking about what made them become a teacher would really impact no knowledge at the end of the day.

We have also formed a bad habit of using ourselves to advise other human beings,  forming a case study of how you soaked 'garri' and ate little or nothing. It is good to do so at least to make the person believe that they are not alone, like a source of inspiration but if you know what will actually help other than your continuous tale of survival in the jungle, tap into that. Tell the person secrets on how they can achieve what you do, but you will prefer to hide the ingredients and only tell them how the soup turned out to taste.

Take a look at the Western world, billionaires push in millions in training so that young minds can have access to inventing their own programs.

Do you know that even Facebook can put you through a step by step process on creating a smart page?

I respect my friend because she never withheld any information when she tutored us in school, she knew the appropriate tools on how to scale through in courses, how to read, how to answer questions intelligently and she still graduated as the best.

Stop hoarding secrets, stop telling sappy stories on how you made it just to cover up. Not everyone has that kind of patience to struggle forever.

If you know what you will help someone say it, it wouldn't make you lesser than the person.

I admire Kemi Adetiba because she hands on told us step by step on what you can do for success. She never spent the whole day talking about family, she chipped in when necessary but always straight to the point.
The other speakers got me yawning, I was tired when the history outweighed the necessary because at the end of the day, I couldn’t note down anything except how they ate garri in the morning to go to school.

I eat garri as breakfast, in fact it is my best kind of breakfast because it makes me feel full.

If  you decide that maybe you won't help show people the actual route because you don't want them to be better than you, if that person is going to be better, they will be. When was the last time you sent someone a job link or actually recommended them for a job?

If you are the only rich person in the midst of poor people, you are poor.

We shouldn’t always help because we will get something back in return, that's why Ponzi schemes flourish. A single act of selflessness goes a long way.

Forget the thought of people using you to get what they want, anyone that uses a person just to make their own life better has already been broken from the inside. You should be thankful you no longer associate with those kind of people. Help no matter what, no one ever forgets an act of kindness, no matter how ungrateful the person becomes.

Learn to give people the right tips to succeed if you have the power to, like the saying goes 'Don't give them fish but teach them how to fish'

Everyone has a story to tell, everyone has a day of humble beginnings trust me if we are given the podium to talk all about our tribulations of life, you will hear worse things that will make you give praise regardless.

You might be the only one that will serve as a helper to a particular person, but because you want to flourish alone, you decide to live for yourself alone.

Besides, who has ever seen a single rose in a desert?

The Boys You Want VS The Boys You Need.

(photo credit : Elena Berezina)  Let me tell you a story about the boys you want. They are mysterious, have a dangerous appeal, a spice of melodrama and zest for fantasy. Wonderland du jour and attention je ne sais quoi. They make you feel like you want the world to stop, heck the world stops when you are with them. The calls, damn the calls! Incessant, over the edge, every moment affair. You pour your hearts out on the phone, through texts, chats... It is a drug, you can never get enough of the intoxication. It is highend ecstasy borderline on molly heroine, morphine... The love engulfs you, you love them till your breathing stops, you love them till they call the cops on you... The love breeds madnees, you always want more but you never really get enough. And then... Reality sets in! It is an illusion, there is a sudden awakening, a flash of lightning that jolts you back to consciousness.  It comes fast, it ends faster. And then... Y...

Movie: Lionheart Review

If you want to watch a movie so surreal that it feels like it is just you, watching from a distance, as a certain family goes to through hurdles to retain longevity, then you should see Lionheart. In all hype and noise, Lionheart stands in the rubble, undeterred, whilst it goes ahead to break through clichés, stereotypes and the nerve jerking predictable story lines always churned out with few polishing. So it is safe to say; I did not expect the ending. I expected like a big BOOM where the protagonist Adaeze (Genevieve Nnaji) saves the day, but still the ending was very real life and a great moral lesson particularly for people in business. Also I loved how they movie was able to incorporate how lives were ruined by the 'Change' in government. How people were are forced to make huge gambles just to stay afloat. In all diamonds: the rubies, the topazes, the sapphires, the hyacinths, the crystals, the peridotes, the amethysts, the emeralds.... Lionheart is a Sa...

Poem: The Fairy of Nondally

There lived a fairy in Nondally, but she wasn't always seen. The people who did, said her face was gleam. She made the roses bloom, she guarded the loom. She was dressed in green, a clothing fit for a queen. There lived a fairy in Nondally, she barely spoke. Hair  of brass, eyes like it was teary from smoke. She looked at the splendor with eyes of wonder "O' what a scene that stretched to yonder" There lived a fairy in Nondally, I was told. Who could have known how I would feel if I could behold. A beautiful fairy, immaculate beauty It pleases me to pen down this in a jiffy.
