Movie Review: Why You Should Watch Stranger Things.

When IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and TV.com rated Stranger Things at 9/10, 94% and 8.6/10 respectively, I knew the movie was definitely no jokes. Just like I predicted, I went BUNKERS!!!

SPOILER ALERT!!!
(If you haven't watched the movie and love to know a little bit on what to expect, proceed at your own risk)

I might be late to the party because the first episode aired July 15 2016 on Netflix, but like they say better late than never right?

Stranger Things blew me out of my chair a couple billion times. I was either sniffing on a tissue or giggling at the cute scenes. Even though it was based on a couple of adventurous kids, it was way more than a teen movie.

Here are points I noted:
TAKE ME BACK TO THE 80S
The series was set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana during the early 1980s. It was both Chic and Hipster in fashion. The men with hair and tight jeans , women with high trousers and puff sleeves, I am definitely rocking an 80s inspired look probably any moment from now.

SUPER SMART KIDS
Nerd became the new cool. A bunch of teen boys flowing impressively with science, made quantum physics look like joking ‘sturvs'. Even though they were actors , they were so in sync with their role that I almost thought I looked upon the early beginnings of future scientists.

COOL NOSE BLEEDS

When the star of the show Eleven is in her element, it makes her bleed from her nose and nothing felt so hot like the sight of blood stains on her porcelain face and the way she wipes it off with so much swag wearing the 'Don't mess with me, mouth breather' expression.

MONSTERS DON’T PLAY
It's going to get chilly so dust out your sweaters because 'He likes it cold'. The demogogorn and the demo dogs rule The Upside Down and trust me, they can't stand the heat.

ONE OF A KIND SCIENCE FICTION
I thought I had seen it all with sci-fi movies, I mean what else can they possibly come up with that could appear a bit distinct but Stranger Things proved that in one of two variables, there is a million and one ideas untapped. The Duffer Brothers definitely have an enviable imagination and I believe it is quite ‘eccentric’.

All They Do Is Win!
Stranger Things can boast of a room full of accolades ranging from the Golden Globes to the People's Choice Awards to Screen Actors Guild Awards and a host of many more. I mean, who wouldn't acknowledge greatness when it is in its truest and purest form?

RISING STAR.
Millie Bobbie Brown is definitely going to break boundaries in Hollywood. The thirteen year old rising star with 12.2 million followers... and counting is definitely paving the way for the millennials.

YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE FUN!
If you are team 'Netflix and Chill' or team 'Download and Chill or team 'Buy the pirated copy and chill, make sure you get ready for a long ride on two wheels to the Upside Down or better yet... Get a skateboard and go out... Madmax style.

Toddles!

The Boys You Want VS The Boys You Need.

(photo credit : Elena Berezina)  Let me tell you a story about the boys you want. They are mysterious, have a dangerous appeal, a spice of melodrama and zest for fantasy. Wonderland du jour and attention je ne sais quoi. They make you feel like you want the world to stop, heck the world stops when you are with them. The calls, damn the calls! Incessant, over the edge, every moment affair. You pour your hearts out on the phone, through texts, chats... It is a drug, you can never get enough of the intoxication. It is highend ecstasy borderline on molly heroine, morphine... The love engulfs you, you love them till your breathing stops, you love them till they call the cops on you... The love breeds madnees, you always want more but you never really get enough. And then... Reality sets in! It is an illusion, there is a sudden awakening, a flash of lightning that jolts you back to consciousness.  It comes fast, it ends faster. And then... Y...

Movie: Lionheart Review

If you want to watch a movie so surreal that it feels like it is just you, watching from a distance, as a certain family goes to through hurdles to retain longevity, then you should see Lionheart. In all hype and noise, Lionheart stands in the rubble, undeterred, whilst it goes ahead to break through clichés, stereotypes and the nerve jerking predictable story lines always churned out with few polishing. So it is safe to say; I did not expect the ending. I expected like a big BOOM where the protagonist Adaeze (Genevieve Nnaji) saves the day, but still the ending was very real life and a great moral lesson particularly for people in business. Also I loved how they movie was able to incorporate how lives were ruined by the 'Change' in government. How people were are forced to make huge gambles just to stay afloat. In all diamonds: the rubies, the topazes, the sapphires, the hyacinths, the crystals, the peridotes, the amethysts, the emeralds.... Lionheart is a Sa...

Poem: The Fairy of Nondally

There lived a fairy in Nondally, but she wasn't always seen. The people who did, said her face was gleam. She made the roses bloom, she guarded the loom. She was dressed in green, a clothing fit for a queen. There lived a fairy in Nondally, she barely spoke. Hair  of brass, eyes like it was teary from smoke. She looked at the splendor with eyes of wonder "O' what a scene that stretched to yonder" There lived a fairy in Nondally, I was told. Who could have known how I would feel if I could behold. A beautiful fairy, immaculate beauty It pleases me to pen down this in a jiffy.
